CONSULTING AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. Phoenix Capital launches the Phoenix.AI Program. Objective: tangible and actionable solutions for clients

Phoenix Capital, a hub for management consulting, operational, and technological services for the insurance, banking, payments, and innovation sectors, is investing in Artificial Intelligence. It starts the new year with the launch of the Phoenix.AI Program, an operational plan aimed at creating tangible and actionable AI solutions for clients, grounded in both theory and practice. This business initiative is also designed as a valuable educational opportunity and a reward for Phoenix Capital’s entire human capital.

AI AND ITALIAN COMPANIES: WHERE DO WE STAND?
The Artificial Intelligence market in Italy is currently valued at approximately €0.8 billion, with growth projected to reach €2.5 billion by 2027. This data comes from the Global Technology Report 2024, published by Bain & Company on November 6, 2024. The report highlights that AI adoption among Italian companies is still below the European average: only 7% of SMEs and 24% of large companies in Italy have implemented AI solutions, compared to an EU average of 9% and 30%, respectively. This underscores significant growth potential and the necessity for strategic initiatives to accelerate AI adoption. A clear roadmap is needed, including business process transformation and the development of specific skills.

PHOENIX.AI PROGRAM: THE STEPS
The Phoenix.AI Program aims to address this market need with a pragmatic approach, delivering a holistic impact across all ten business divisions of the company.

The program is structured into three progressive action levels, tailored to reflect internal roles, skills, and seniority. Drawing inspiration from George Lucas’s universe, the participants are divided into Padawans (Junior), Jedi Knights (Senior and Middle Managers), and Jedi Masters (Division Heads). Each level begins with a training session focused on understanding the application areas of Generative AI, followed by two practical phases.

  • The first phase involves identifying concrete use cases based on personal expertise and insights gained from client interactions.
  • The second phase focuses on implementing solutions tailored to the identified use cases, which will then be proposed to end clients.

GENAI: THE SPECIALIZED PARTNERSHIP
To ensure the program’s effectiveness in delivering client-centric solutions, Phoenix Capital has partnered with a leading specialist in Generative AI. This partner will provide Phoenix employees with access to a multi-LLM (Large Language Model) provider solution, ensuring scalability, stability, and data security aligned with client requirements.

THE LAUNCH OF THE PHOENIX.AI PROGRAM
The program kicked off this morning, January 10, with the initiation of the Padawan group—28 young colleagues organized into eight interdisciplinary teams. Over the next six months, from mid-January to mid-July, they will focus on identifying and implementing solutions tailored to client needs. The process includes project milestones, evaluations, and realignments.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION
The workgroups will independently select the use cases they wish to develop, but potential applications may include:

  • Automating insurance processes.
  • Developing solutions for payment operators.
  • Enhancing project management.
  • Streamlining administrative workflows.
  • Creating vertical automation solutions for industrial, automotive, and B2C services, focusing on human-machine communication.

Phoenix Capital invites its teams to engage with competence and creativity under the 2025 motto: “Dare powerful things.”

HR INITIATIVE: INCENTIVE TRIP TO SILICON VALLEY
In mid-July, the completed solutions will be evaluated, and the winning team will be announced at the company’s summer party. The reward? A fall training trip to Phoenix’s San Francisco office in Silicon Valley, the heart of innovation.

By 2030, 80% of project management activities will be managed by artificial intelligence,” remarked Giulio Fezzi, President of Phoenix Capital and the leader of this initiative, citing research from Gartner. “The advent of Generative AI has accelerated this transition—a reality we witnessed during our innovation trips to Silicon Valley. As one of the world’s leading tech groups’ R&D heads told us, ‘It’s all about Generative AI.’ We aim to position ourselves as an AI Consulting Company, equipping clients with the right tools, approaches, and solutions to harness this unstoppable revolution. This program is both a business initiative and a practical training project for all our resources, complete with an attractive incentive: Silicon Valley.”
