Phoenix Capital announce the launch of a partnership with Opportunities New Brunswick, New Brunswick’s leading economic development agency, which supports local businesses whilst also attracting investment from around the world to stimulate economic growth, job creation and the export of products and services to new markets worldwide.
The Phoenix Group’s strong presence in Texas and Silicon Valley – with operational offices in Houston and San Francisco and a foothold in New York City – is now being consolidated through a new structured channel that strengthens the positioning of Phoenix Capital and Phoenix Spark Inc. as an operational bridge to the whole of North America, including Canada, with direct access from New Brunswick. This collaboration systematises the development of opportunities between New Brunswick and the Phoenix Group’s ecosystem of partners and clients across Italy, Europe and the USA.
New Brunswick: the strengths of a strategic region. In particular, the partnership capitalises on the strengths of a region that is attractive due to:
• access to new pools of skilled talent: there are over 60 academic institutions, with a strong focus on IT and engineering
• the presence of a world-class technology and cybersecurity ecosystem, featuring global players and advanced research centres
• high cost efficiency, with costs up to 20–23% lower than in other Canadian cities, in terms of both labour and property costs
• its strategic location: New Brunswick acts as a natural bridge between Europe and North America, offering direct access to over 100 million consumers
• the growth of the ICT sector, with significant development in AI, cybersecurity, digital health and automation
This partnership with New Brunswick arose from a personal meeting at Fintech Meetup, one of the most important financial events in the US, which President Giulio Fezzi attended last March: a fact that highlights the speed with which concrete B2B opportunities can be developed in America.
“What struck us, alongside the region’s established strengths, is New Brunswick’s extremely attractive geography, which facilitates lean operational set-ups and hybrid delivery models incorporating local teams to optimise efficiency and scalability; furthermore, the potential to establish innovation hubs for technological development and the opportunity for commercial expansion in North America that is highly cost-effective and operationally sustainable. Phoenix Spark is already working along these lines for a select number of clients, integrating go-to-market support; access to local talent and facilities; and the development of institutional and industrial relationships,” emphasised Phoenix Group President Giulio Fezzi.
Next Steps. Phoenix Capital and Phoenix Spark work with their clients, partners and prospective clients to develop potential growth strategies and partnerships with companies looking to expand their presence in the United States and Canada, leveraging New Brunswick’s strategic position as a gateway to the North American market.
